Grace Towobola
Grace is a football coach and recipient of the 2022/2023 Chevening scholarship studying MSc Sport Coaching at the University of Central Lancashire, England, with degrees in Sport Management and Agricultural Economics. She has worked in several coaching capacities with male and female football teams across the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), British University and College Sports (BUCS), and elite English clubs and is a passionate sport for development enthusiast.
ROOTS
ROOTS has three major aims; (i) Improving grassroots football by providing out-of-school children with resources and personnel needed to develop them into professional footballers while re-introducing them to education in a fun and engaging way. (ii) Promote youth empowerment by providing youths and young adults with opportunities through volunteering, work placements, and internships to gain hands-on experience thus equipping them with the requisite skills and networks needed for pursuing successful football/sporting careers. (iii) Improving the experiences of senior citizens (especially women) by providing them with fitness programs geared towards improving overall health and well-being.
