Ingmar De Vos has served as President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) since 2014 and has been an IOC Member since 2017.

De Vos began his career as a Belgian Senate Advisor in 1989 and has since led a long career in sports administration. He served as the Director General of the Belgian Equestrian Federation from 1990 to 1997, and then as the federation’s Secretary General for the next 14 years. De Vos then joined the FEI in 2011, where he served as Secretary General until he was elected President in 2014.

De Vos’ additional sports administration positions include: organiser of various equestrian competitions (1989-2011); Chef d’Equipe, Belgian jumping team at several Nations Cup competitions (1990-2010); Chef de Mission, Belgian delegation at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ (1990-2010); Head of the Belgian Equestrian delegation at the Olympic Games Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008; member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) Governance Task Force (2016-present); and member of the IOC Legal Affairs Commission and IOC Digital and Technology Commission (2018-present).

For leisure, De Vos enjoys practising equestrian sports, tennis and athletics.

De Vos holds a master’s degree in political science and international relations and a master’s degree in international and European law from Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium); a certificate in development cooperation from the ABOS (Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs); and a certificate from the Belgian Olympic Academy.
