Two changes of nationality confirmed by the IOC Executive Board ahead of Beijing 2022

The eligibility of two athletes for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 was confirmed today by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) following their requests for a change of nationality.

During the second day of its remote meeting from Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland, the IOC EB approved the following changes:

  • Ms Kamilla KOZUBACK – Snowboard – from Canada to Hungary
  • Ms Elsa DESMOND – Luge – from Great Britain to Ireland

The IOC Executive Board granted the requested exemption to the three-year waiting period, with the prior agreement of the International Federations and National Olympic Committees concerned, in accordance with Bye-law 2 to Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.
