New Allianz series provides behind-the-scenes look at preparations for Paris 2024
As the countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 continues, Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner Allianz has worked with the IOC and the IPC to launch a 10-episode series of micro-documentaries that give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at preparations for the Games.
The Ready. Paris. Go. series puts the spotlight on various people involved in Paris 2024, from athletes and fans to volunteers, organisers and team leaders. Each episode focuses on a different perspective, and aims to build excitement ahead of Paris 2024 while showing what it takes to get ready for the Games and how the right preparation is critical for success.
Those featured so far include French triathlete Emma Lombardi and paratriathlon world champion Jules Ribstein, who reveal their excitement about competing in Games on home soil, and how they are preparing to tackle the Paris 2024 course.
Another episode sees hydrogen fuel experts Marie Emory and Eric Prades discuss how they are working with Paris 2024 to supply fuel for the 500 hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai cars that form part of the official fleet of Games vehicles.
Future episodes will highlight how Jackson Richardson, Chef de Mission of the French Olympic team, and Michaël Jérémiasz, Chef de Mission of the French Paralympic team, are getting ready to lead the host nation’s athletes at the Games, and how Tokyo 2020 sport climbing gold medallist Janja Garnbret is preparing to defend her Olympic title.
Viewers will also see two-time Olympic water polo gold medallist Ashleigh Johnson discuss her rigorous training regime ahead of Paris 2024, while Paralympic archer Matt Stutzman, who won a silver medal at London 2012, reveals his unique Games preparations, which include sky diving and motor racing to help him manage his adrenaline.
The Ready. Paris. Go. series forms part of Allianz’s wider “Get Ready for the Best” campaign, which seeks to show how being prepared can help people be ready for life’s unexpected opportunities and challenges.
Allianz officially began its eight-year worldwide partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements in 2021, building on a collaboration with the Paralympic Movement since 2006.
