The esports enthusiasts, aged between 14 and 17, from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Chinese Taipei and Thailand, have been specially selected from a pool of applicants to participate in the MoveNow Camp – Esports Edition, which will provide professional esports training in popular titles such as Gran Turismo 7, plus mentorship opportunities with leading players and activities to improve mental and physical health, as well as social skills.

The three-day camp will take place during Olympic Esports Week – a new festival of virtual sports and gaming created by the IOC that marks the next major step in supporting the development of virtual sports within the Olympic Movement and engaging further with competitive gamers.

Attendees of the Allianz MoveNow Camp – Esports Edition will be able to experience the best of Olympic Esports Week, including watching the live Olympic Esports Series finals, playing the featured games in the competition, enjoying behind-the-scenes tours, and meeting prominent players. In celebration of Olympic Day on 23 June, camp attendees will also complete the 30-minute Olympic workout together as part of the IOC’s Let’s Move initiative.

The esports camp forms part of Allianz’s MoveNow Campaign, which aims to strengthen the role of sport in society and help younger generations become more active, and aligns with Allianz's commitment to supporting the Olympic Movement in promoting healthy lifestyles among young people.
