WELCOME TO THE 15th IOC ADVANCED TEAM PHYSICIAN COURSE
It is a sincere pleasure for me to welcome the delegates of the 15th IOC Advanced Team Physician Course to Rome!
We have a stellar line-up of experienced speakers committed to ensuring that this three-day event will be at least as successful as the 14 previous memorable IOC Advanced Team Physician Courses, the first in Svolvær, Lofoten in 2008, and most recently last year, in Medellín, Colombia.
This will be a Team Physician Course focusing on the practical issues of working with high-level athletes in a team sports setting. And you will learn from the best! We will address 13 of the main health problems facing the team physician, with world-leading, experienced clinicians sharing their best advice and most recent advances in science to support your decision-making on diagnosis and treatment. The course is interactive, with small-group discussions addressing controversial topics and looking at relevant cases.
Our aim is to bring together 80 delegates with experience as team physicians to share new knowledge and challenge each other in open discussions. The social programme will also foster discussion and create an excellent possibility for additional networking outside the scientific sessions.
