Competed in numerous three-day event competitions in Great Britain and overseas; winner of the Raleigh Trophy in 1971; gold medallist in the 1971 individual European Three-Day Event Championships; silver medallist in both individual and team disciplines in the 1975 European Three-Day Event Championships; took part in the Games of the XXI Olympiad in 1976 in Montreal
