15-year-old Isabeau Levito seems to be unfazed by bright lights and hype. The newly crowned U.S. figure skating champion is exuding a remarkable calmness on... the ice. "I feel like when I'm doing my programs, I kind of get into a trance and I'm trying to bring everybody in the crowd and the judges into this void where I feel like I am in," she tells us. "It doesn't feel like real life when I'm doing it. You know, it feels like it's a different world, like a fictional show or something." Levito is channelling the energy of some of her literary heroines on the ice. "Sometimes I'll go into my long program and I'm like, ‘Let's be tough like Inej [from the book ‘Six of Crows’] would be....sometimes I'm like, fight like her, be tough like her. "
