Japanese judo siblings Abe Uta and Abe Hifumi were crowned Olympic champions within minutes of each other on a memorable night for the host nation... at the Nippon Budokan.

Abe Uta took gold in the women’s -52kg category defeating Amandine Buchard (FRA), and she was able to watch as her brother Abe Hifumi won his gold medal contest in the men’s -66kg category at Tokyo 2020 against Vazha Margvelashvili (GEO).
