Get to the competition venues in Île-de-France

Paris 2024 has made strong commitments in terms of sustainable mobility to limit the environmental impact of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. To this end, all competition venues are served by public transport, and an adapted transport plan has been put in place. No venues in the Paris region are accessible by motorized vehicles.

On this page, you will find Paris 2024's recommendations for getting to the competition venues. We strongly recommend that you allow sufficient travel time and arrive at least 1.5 hours before the start of the session. Gates close 30 minutes before the end of the session. All exits are final.

Getting around Île-de-France

Public transport

To get around by public transport, you'll need to use the Île-de-France Mobilités network, which brings together all the train, RER, metro, streetcar and bus lines in Paris and the surrounding region.

Transport Public Paris 2024 application

To coincide with the Paris 2024 Games, a dedicated mobile application, "Transport Public Paris 2024", has been developed to enable you to plan your route to the competition venues and get real-time information on transport conditions in the Paris region. It's already available!

Our tip: Remember to buy your Paris 2024 pass on the app to travel unlimited on the entire Île-de-France transport network, for the number of days of your choice. This will help you avoid queuing at stations. This feature will be available in June.

This application is your indispensable companion for preparing your journeys with peace of mind. We advise you not to use the other existing journey planner applications, which do not include all the transport plans for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Indicate your favorite competition venues to receive personalized real-time information on transport conditions.

Information specifying the stations and public transport lines serving the venues can be found in the "How to get there" section of the pages for each competition venue.

Active mobility to reach the venues

Dedicated bike parking areas, free of charge and manned from H-1:30 to H+1:30 of each competition session, are available on the day of the event. You can find the location of these parking areas on the pages of each competition site and on the "Public Transport Paris 2024" application.

It is important to note that bicycle helmets, electric batteries and other bicycle equipment are not allowed inside the competition venue and must be left in the parking area.

The Olympic cycling network links the competition venues. Download the "Public Transport Paris 2024" app to find your safe cycling route. It will take you directly to the nearest parking area.

Practical information on accessibility

Are you the holder of a PSH (Personne en Situation de Handicap) or PFR (Personne en Fauteuil Roulant) ticket?
