Yoann Perriniaux will carry the Olympic torch. This is his story:

Yoann represents various dimensions of sport. His commitment to football refereeing spans the regional and federal levels. Every weekend, he officiates on the pitch to ensure fair play and keep players safe, always with enthusiasm. In June 2023, he passed the theoretical exam to become a Young Referee of the Federation, enabling him to officiate in the National U17 Championship from then on.

Yoann also completed a week-long internship at the Ille-et-Vilaine Football District, where he actively contributed to the development of women's football at the local level. Despite a malformation of his right hand, his perseverance in pushing boundaries has enabled him to achieve a level of performance akin to that of able-bodied individuals in most sports.

He has also shared Olympic and Paralympic values by visiting primary schools for the past two years. Yoann draws inspiration from the journeys of French Paralympic athletes such as Damien Seguin in sailing and Chris Ballois in kite-surfing. Finally, he provides commentary on sporting events, from fencing to rugby to Formula 1, all delivered with genuine passion. Hs commentary ignites enthusiasm and introduces listeners to the achievements of athletes across sometimes overlooked disciplines.
