Violette Le Chevalier

Violette Le Chevalier will carry the Olympic torch. This is her story:

As a child, Violette was a bundle of energy, which she decided to channel through her passion: hip hop. Over a decade, this art form gave her an outlet to release, break free, push the envelope and innovate. Above all, it fostered unity. What better than music and dance to bring people together?

This year holds particular importance for her because the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be the first edition to feature breakdancing, a discipline ready to take its rightful place alongside the major sports. Carrying the Olympic torch will be Violette's way of thanking hip hop for everything that it has brought her.
