Thibault Ozil portera la Flamme Olympique. Voici son histoire :

For Thibault, sport has always been more than a simple physical activity: it was a refuge, a way of regaining his self-confidence. From his teenage years, he faced up to the challenges of his weight, desperately seeking a way to fulfil his potential.

It was then that he discovered baseball, a passion that propelled him to the top level. In spite of his successes, an inner voice persisted, sowing doubt and self-criticism, but one day, everything changed. Thibault realised the importance of physical activity, immersing himself in an intense routine of sport, running and weight training. In one year, he lost 30 kilos, discovering a new-found sense of freedom. Today, at the age of 30 years, his struggle continues, but Thibault refuses to give up.

With time and maturity he has learned to accept himself how he is. By carrying the Olympic Torch, Thibault hopes to embody the message that sport is not reserved for an elite that conforms to pre-established criteria. He believes in the diversity of body shapes, beauties and sporting talents, including those that do not correspond to conventional standards. For Thibault, this occasion is an opportunity to make his voice heard, a voice that may resonate for one, ten or a hundred others, encouraging everyone to embrace their uniqueness and believe in their own abilities.
