Steve Venot 

Steve Venot will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Steve, in addition to his passion for sport, is also a volunteer firefighter in Versailles. This commitment is particularly dear to his heart, as it allows him to serve his community and help out in emergency situations. He has been trained to deal with extreme situations, in which courage, determination and solidarity are essential. One of the most striking moments of his firefighting career was his participation in putting out the fire at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

This experience reinforced his conviction that surpassing oneself and solidarity are essential values, not just in sport but also in everyday life. As an Olympic Torchbearer, Steve wishes to convey such values of courage, determination and solidarity. He wants to show the entire world that sport and civic commitment can work together to create a better world.
