Stéphanie Goulinat

Stéphanie Goulinat will carry the Olympic torch. This is her story:

Stéphanie has been chosen as an Olympic torchbearer in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to community life, her dedication to her son's handball club in Bruges and her work within SAGC (Sport Athlétique Gazinet Cestas) to make sport more inclusive and open to everyone. She played a key role in the development of the multi-sport section, working tirelessly so young people were able to pick from a wide spectrum of sporting activities to help them discover and hone their skills in various fields.

Moreover, her involvement in the adult multi-sport programme underscores her aspiration to stimulate inclusion at every level and generate opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels. Making sport open to everyone is one of Stéphanie's top priorities.

Her work at SAGC involved launching sports holidays for children to enable them to continue to partake in sport even during school holidays. Carrying the Olympic torch is an honour reserved for people who embody the fundamental values of the Olympic Games, such as excellence, friendship and respect. Stéphanie flies the flag for these values through her dedication to make sport inclusive and open to everyone.
