Stéphane Loison

Stéphane Loison will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Stéphane has been involved for over 30 years in the voluntary sector and sport at various levels: as a sportsperson, instructor, volunteer and official. For thirteen years he was chairman of the football club in Annecy, transforming the organisation from amateur and associative status playing in the 7th tier into a professional structure competing the French 2nd division.

Stéphane was able to bring together the men, women and skills needed to bring this project to fruition, giving it a truly regional dimension involving the associative, political and economic worlds. He perfectly embodies the values of Olympism and sport, particularly those of the Paris 2024 Games. Using sport as a genuine vehicle for education and the transmission of values, as well as a means of inclusion and solidarity, Stéphane always demonstrates humility, respect and team spirit, as well as ambition and commitment. Being an Olympic Torchbearer will be a dream come true for him.
