Pierre Grousselle

Pierre Grousselle will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Pierre is an accomplished athlete who has won medals at the French athletics championships in race walking. He is involved on a voluntary basis in his club in Sarreguemines as a coach for the children’s athletics and as a judge. He is a primary school headmaster, organises cyclo-sportive races as well as bike rides for his pupils and takes part in introductions to sport by managing the Tickets Sports scheme for his municipality.

In addition to his sporting commitments, Pierre is an attentive father who explores hiking trails with his wife and their two daughters aged 6 and 7. Carrying the Olympic Torch is an immense source of pride for him, as it symbolises his commitment to Olympic values and national solidarity.
