Philippe Revillon will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s his story:

Philippe thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Paralympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and Athens in 2004, reaching the podium four times in swimming. Since then, he has regularly shared his life's journey, mainly with young people – both non-disabled and disabled – from primary school through to higher education.

Swimming has given him both physical and mental fulfilment, while competition goals have helped push him beyond his limits. The Olympic Games represent the pinnacle for any athlete, whether disabled or non-disabled. In sharing his unique experience, Philippe can see just how electrifying this universal event is for both sports fans and non-sports fans alike. Carrying the torch is an immense source of pride and a powerful symbol we can all get behind as we continue to promote the Games, extending an adventure that began more than 20 years ago.
