Moselle

Patrick Moyses will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Ever since he was young, Patrick has loved sport and major events. For him, the Games embody the union of peoples through sport. A medal-winning Paralympian at the 1988 Seoul Games, he has volunteered at every Games, right up to Tokyo, where he had the honour of leading the French para-cycling team to 5 medals.

For him, carrying the Olympic Torch is an immense privilege. Despite an accident at the age of 40 that left him paraplegic, Patrick remains committed to the para-sports movement. He is a volunteer coach for teams in various Paralympic sports and devotes his sporting retirement to mentoring young athletes, drawing on his experience as a former top-level athlete.
