Nicolas Vilain

Nicolas Vilain will carry the Olympic torch. This is his story:

Nicolas actively participates in various sports events such as triathlons, the Oxy'Trail and races organised by the French Federation of Canoe Kayak and Paddle Sports (FFCK), showcasing his dedication to sports and its values. At the same time, he is a musician member of OBA Cercles de tambours.

One of his most memorable experiences was his group's participation in the rugby sevens tournament held on 1 July 2023. The tournament went on despite being held right in the heart of what was termed a sensitive area, which was affected by the riots of summers 2023. Motivated to display their best, support players and honour the spirit of sports, the members of the organisation helped to create a memorable post-match atmosphere. As Nicolas sees it, excellence, personal transcendence and solidarity are values that athletes and musicians have in common.
