Nicolas Peyron

Nicolas Peyron will carry the Olympic torch. This is his story:

Nicolas is a dedicated volunteer in the team behind the organisation of the Parkinson Trail Tour, an annual charity race held every April. This ultra-trail run is based on the Backyard principle, in which participants are challenged to complete a 7.5 km loop with an elevation gain of 300 metres within 1 h 15.

The race unfolds over a maximum of 24 laps, totalling 30 hours, for a distance of 180 km and an elevation gain of 7,200 metres. The winner is whoever completes the final lap in the shortest time. All proceeds are funnelled into Parkinson's disease research. In tandem with this effort, throughout the year, Nicolas also volunteers his time to coach young handball referees.
