Loïc, who was born in 2002, is a renowned French chess player and a promising hope for his country. He has held the title of international master since 2019 and boast an ELO rating of 2404. His many successes include victories at the under-16 and under-18 French Youth Championships, and a gold medal on the 3rd chessboard at the Olympiads.
His participation as an Olympic Torchbearer has a special significance, providing an exceptional showcase for a fast-growing sport. By raising the profile of chess through this iconic event, Loïc will help to increase its popularity and inspire new talent.
