Léa Ferraro will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Léa took the leap into the demanding world of individual competition when she discovered tennis at the age of 6 years old. She then tried out doubles badminton. When she was a teenager, she joined a women’s football team and held down her place in the first eleven from her very first match, discovering the importance of team spirit both on and off the field. She continued this experience at university, where she became team captain and won tournaments, reinforcing her passion for the sport.

As a volunteer, she has taken part in major sporting events such as Euro 2016 and the 2022 Biathlon World Cup and has also been involved in a range of activities, from the Women's World Cup to the Gay Games. As a young adult, she pushed her own limits, realising that with determination she could run a marathon. Having spent years studying sport as well as working in the sports and Olympic movement, her relationship with sport has evolved towards a role more focused on encouragement, motivation, coaching and the organisation of various events. Léa's aim is to prove to everyone that they are capable of surpassing themselves and asserting themselves through sport and the values of the Olympics. This is what she wishes to pass on by carrying the Olympic Torch.
