Lauriane Lelièvre

Lauriane Lelièvre will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Lauriane, who has been passionate about dancesport for 16 years, discovered her love for this art form after watching a report about it on television. As a result, she enrolled in a dance school and devoted herself fully to this passion, which has become an essential part of her life. Lauriane trains diligently every week, takes part in the school's annual shows and supervises the youngest students during their performances.

Although she does not consider herself to be exceptionally talented in this field, Lauriane puts all her heart into her dancing, embodying the fervour that drives the great champions. She is one of a multitude of amateurs who admire the exploits of professional dancers, thrilled at watching them at their competitions and drawing energy from them to pursue their own quest for perfection, even on a day-to-day level. This perpetual quest reflects the values of the Olympics to which she aspires. For Lauriane, conveying these values as an Olympic Torchbearer is a dream that is close to her heart.
