Katarzyna Szymkow

Katarzyna Szymkow will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Katarzyna fully embodies the vision of the Olympic Torch Relay, promoting inclusiveness, empathy and the transformative power of understanding. For her, this vision evokes resilience and our infinite potential. In 2009, when she joined Intel Poland, one of the corporate partners of the 2024 Paris Games, she was one of the rare women engineers. Without realising it, this experience would propel her to become a role model for inclusion at Intel, renowned worldwide for her inspiration in favour of inclusive behaviour and a coach for teaching non-violent communication.

Katarzyna has understood that true inclusion is a collective story. By being a torchbearer, she symbolises the power of empathy, the importance of diverse perspectives and the transformative impact of authentic connections. The Olympic Torch carries with it the stories, the struggles and the triumphs of all those who have carried it and who believe, as it does, in a more inclusive world, a reality that deserves to be pursued.
