Julia Pereira

Julia Pereira de Sousa will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:

At 16, Julia became the youngest French medallist at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal to everyone’s surprise. A loyal Isola 2000 resident, Julia first took up downhill skiing before turning to snowboarding at the age of 9. Despite two cruciate knee ligament injuries, she is a true fighter who has never given up. A determined athlete, this champion wants to continue rebuilding and get back to the top.
