Joel Renault

Joel Renault will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s his story:

Joel is a fervent community campaigner, with an impressive 24-year career as president of the USIB, an adapted sports club in Brest. His commitment has left its mark not only locally, but also at a national and international level. Joel has successfully organised four French championships and one Virtus Global Games in the Brest region. His influence also extends to the governance of adapted sport, where he has held several vice-chair positions and a three-year term on the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF), alongside Marie-Amélie Le Fur.

He is currently an active member of the Departmental Olympic and Sporting Committee of Finistère (CDOS) and is national vice-chair of the General Association of Submariners’ Clubs (AGASM). As treasurer of the Brest-based association, he plays a crucial role. His impressive track record in voluntary work is testament to his unwavering dedication to those who need help most.
