Jean-Pascal Zadi

Jean-Pascal Zadi will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Jean-Pascal Zadi is one of the iconic faces of French cinema, renowned for his versatility, depth and charisma. Equally at ease in front of and behind the camera, he was honoured for his feature film ‘Tout simplement noir’ (Simply Black), which he directed and which won him the César award for Best New Male Talent in 2020. Jean-Pascal Zadi is a multi-faceted artist and is also committed to causes dear to his heart.

He is the patron of the “Sol Solidaire” association, which works to finance solar panels for people living in social housing in order to reduce their energy bills. He draws a parallel between his commitments, his artistic achievements and the Olympic Games, which he sees as “a powerful symbol of peace and friendship”. Through his artistic talent and social involvement, he is an inspiring and committed figure, helping to promote the values of solidarity, equality and fraternity, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the Olympic Games.
