Jean-Claude's striking tale has turned him into an embodiment of the sporting spirit. He is a former top-flight athlete who represented his country in the 4 × 100 metres relay event at the 1976 Summer Olympic Games. This experience was a key milestone in his commitment to sport and its values. Jean-Claude has dedicated his whole life to spreading the values of sport within his community. He has worn various caps, from athlete and coach to physical trainer and sports educator, sharing his passion and expertise with the generations of tomorrow.

His contribution to the city of Avignon as a sports educator is a token of his civic engagement and ardent desire to instil the values of sport in young people. Besides his sporting achievements, the defining characteristic of his career has been a deep-running love for his home city and its values.
