Isabelle Argire

Isabelle Argire will carry the Olympic torch. This is her story:

Isabelle has found solace in sport following her emergence from intensive care, a breath of fresh air in her life. Carrying the Olympic torch was one of her dreams to show, that despite a debilitating condition, sport has the power to move mountains. It is also an opportunity for her to raise awareness about her condition, still often overlooked. 

Moreover, sport has been her lifeline. Isabelle passionately follows all major sporting events, especially the Olympic Games, set to take place in her beloved homeland in 2024. Beyond that, she invests her remaining time and soul volunteering for children's education and health prevention, among other causes, with the charity Les Enfants de Man.
