Marne
Inès Lanz will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:
Inès, a young autistic girl aged 17 years, attends special ULIS classes for children with disabilities at the junior high school in Mourmelon-le-Grand.
She is a keen pétanque player and is a member of a club where she has finished runner-up in the Marne area championship several times. In addition to her sporting commitment, she has helped to write a song on the theme of the inclusion of disabled children at school, in collaboration with the French singer/songwriter Gauvin Sers, as part of a national competition organised by radio station France Bleu.
As she approaches her final year of secondary school, Ines has obtained her General Education Certificate and is planning to take a course in coffee roasting, with the possible aim of opening her own workshop. Inès embodies the inclusion and success of people with autism, whether at school, in sport or at work.
