The European Collectivity of Alsace
Guillaume Jeannin will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:
Guillaume has a passion for outdoor sports and his sporting achievements shone through when he became world amateur x-terra champion. As a dedicated volunteer coach for many years, he has devoted his time to helping his athletes, as well as serving as a club chairman. At every stage of his commitment, Guillaume has demonstrated essential values such as sharing, respect for others and a taste for effort.
Following a mountain-biking accident that left him quadriplegic, Guillaume did not abandon his convictions and continued to devote himself to others. Today, despite his disability, he continues to take part in outdoor sports and is training a para-triathlete, Michael Herrera, for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Guillaume is a source of inspiration for all those who have been lucky enough to cross his path.
