François Ance

François Ance will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s his story:

François fully embodies the Olympic spirit. Involved at all levels – from local to international – he has left his mark on the para-sport movement and plays a role at every tier of the federation. While he has excelled as an official at major international disabled swimming competitions, he has never neglected the importance of local sport.

François has actively promoted the training and development of officials at national level, and many of the officials he has trained will play a role at the Paris Olympics FOP. And his commitment goes beyond swimming. As an elected member of the regional committee, a departmental boccia referee and a member of the organising committee for the Pays de la Loire European Archery Championships for the Disabled, François has fought tirelessly for the para-sport cause, working continuously behind the scenes to support athletes at all levels.
