Daniele Michel

Daniele Michel will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:

Daniele is an embodiment of group energy. She spent most of her career as an intensive care nurse in Avignon, then as a nurse at Le Pontet prison, and is now retired. A committed volunteer with the Restos du Cœur food bank for over 10 years, she spends 3 or 4 days each week registering, collecting and distributing meals and food to beneficiaries. She assists disadvantaged and illiterate people with their admin and devotes her life to helping others. To clear her head, Daniele likes to run in the countryside and is a member of a local gym club where she goes every week.
