Dalila Bessa

Dalila Bessa will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Ever since she was a child, Dalila has been driven by an all-consuming passion for sport. She is a former club footballer, devoting much of her time to her involvement in sports associations, where she is an ardent campaigner for the promotion of women's sport and its accessibility to all. As head of facilities within an association dedicated to people in difficulty, she is fully committed to promoting the development of sport as a means of improving health and well-being on a daily basis. Dalila is deeply committed to representing her association with dignity by carrying the Olympic Torch, the symbol of her commitment and values.
