Vaucluse
Cloé Corbin will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:
Cloé trains six days a week with the aim of pushing herself ever further. Alongside her sporting career, Cloé is studying for a sports science degree. She joined INSEP last autumn, and now features among the athletes on the departmental list. At the age of 4, Cloé was diagnosed with cancer and had to have her right arm amputated, an ordeal that gave her the mental strength to overcome the limits imposed on her.
And nothing seems to have stopped her since! She took up athletics at 7, training and competing alongside non-disabled athletes, and in 2020 she took part in her first disabled sport competition. Her introduction to para sport began with the Comtat Venaissin club, where her lightning-fast progress inspired her to go further. She then decided to pursue her path with the national long jump coach, leaving the Vaucluse and her family behind.
