Christiane Canzano will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Christiane has been involved in the world of swimming for several decades. Her passion for this sport has seen her receive several prestigious rewards, particularly a gold medal from the French Federation of Swimming and a gold medal from the Departmental Directorate for Youth and Sport (DDJS). It was in 1976 that she first became a federation member by joining the swimming club in Sarcelles, marking the beginning of an unwavering commitment in this sphere. Throughout her life, Christiane has held various positions within the swimming club, including member of the committee, treasurer and general manager.

She was also a member of the management committee of A.A.S SARCELLES, a club which plays a unifying role by bringing together 18 disciplines and nearly 10,000 members. Alongside her husband, she also had the honour of witnessing the intercommunal aquatic centre being named after them. For Christiane, becoming an Olympic Torchbearer is an extraordinary opportunity. It is the culmination and consecration of a lifetime dedicated to swimming and the development of sport in her community.
