Catherine Augoyard will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Catherine has been a sports enthusiast from an early age and has been actively involved as a volunteer for the last two decades, especially through coordinating a wheelchair basketball team. She has also occupied the position of elected member to her local para-sport committee for the last 15 years, where she works with dedication to promote sporting inclusion for all. In spite of the challenges posed by Ehlers' syndrome in the bones, a rare disease which obliges her to use a wheelchair, Catherine continues to be a tireless fighter.

For her, sport is more than just a simple passion: it is a means of excelling and inspiring those who might doubt themselves. In addition to her volunteering activity, she collects ‘bouchons de l'espoir’ (corks of hope) and has succeeded in obtaining two wheelchairs for members of the association who were in need. Catherine’s dedication and determination make her a veritable source of inspiration, ready to light up the Games by her presence and tireless commitment.
