Camille Chambonnière will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

27-year-old Camille embodies determination and passion for sport, which has always been a central pillar of her life, offering her constant balance and fulfilment. She comes from a modest background and has found sport to be a way of fulfilling her potential and overcoming the challenges of life. After taking studies in science, Camille obtained a STAPS APAS sports science degree and a master’s in public health, with a continued focus on physical activity.

Currently working on her PHD, she is highlighting the preventive benefits of physical activity on the health of children and the elderly. At the same time as studying, Camille has led a number of initiatives aimed at a variety of audiences, ranging from children to the elderly, from people suffering from dysfunctions to those with disabilities and from inhabitants of disadvantaged neighbourhoods to isolated rural residents of the Massif central. For Camille, sport is more than a personal passion; it has become a means for her to help her fellow citizens and make a positive contribution to society.
