Aymeric David will carry the Olympic torch. This is his story:

Aymeric's love for sport runs deep. Ever since he was a little child, his father got him kicking a ball about. With over 20 years of club football under his belt, he has embraced strong values such as pushing the boundaries, team spirit and inclusivity.

These values also guide him in his academic career, as he is currently working on a research thesis about leveraging sports in businesses. Aymeric is also actively involved in several social causes through sport. He has previously taken part in the Course des Héros for the French Oesophageal Atresia Association (AFAO) and, more recently, in the Ebroïcienne to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For him, sport is about making an impact in the community. Another area close to his heart is the environment, which he views as a crucial social issue. That is why he is currently undertaking his internship at Panasonic, a partner of the Paris 2024 Games, where he is working on implementing an environmental ISO standard. His goal is to monitor and mitigate the company's environmental footprint. For Aymeric, carrying the Olympic torch is an honour, a source of pride and an opportunity to share his values during this magical moment.
