Astrid Rouch

Astrid Rouch will carry the Olympic torch. This is her story:

18-year-old Astrid has been dedicated to athletics for a decade, with race walking holding a particular allure for her. Her involvement extends beyond the track, as she is a dynamic presence among CA Balma's young members and a certified judge in regional competitions. Moreover, since age 12, Astrid has been an ambassador for Génération 2024 at the Academy of Toulouse, engaging in every ambassadorial team-building camps for the Olympic Games and leading various Olympic-themed initiatives in her middle school and high school, particularly during the Olympic week. Energetic and ever curious, Astrid has taken to venturing into new athletic territories, such as baseball. She is now following league games and teams and reading up on the rules. Ever since childhood, she has dreamt of entering the Paris 2024 Games as an athlete. Now, as an Olympic torchbearer, she has been granted the opportunity to experience the event in a different yet equally fulfilling way.
