Arnaud Kergosien will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s his story:

Arnaud is a true champion. As a disabled table tennis player, he has amassed a pristine list of achievements, including Morbihan champion, champion of Brittany on several occasions, and bronze medallist at the French veterans' championships, in singles and doubles. He even ranks 7th nationally in his discipline. Resilience is the character trait that perfectly defines this former Air Force serviceman, who became quadriplegic following an accident. But there’s another string to Arnaud’s bow: he also plays non-disabled table tennis at pre-regional level. Outside sport, he enjoys many other activities, including sailing, scuba diving, drumming and percussion.

With his remarkable expertise, unbounded energy and unfailing curiosity, Arnaud has helped develop a number of IT bots used throughout France, simplifying many tasks for employees of an electricity distribution network in France, a partner company of the Paris 2024 Games. Involved in a wide range of activities, he is treasurer of his local municipal sports office and a member of a music production association supporting local people who work in the entertainment industry. He has also opened his home to children and families of Ukrainian refugees. Arnaud embodies excellence and passion on a daily basis and is a source of admiration to all, with his commitment and personal values inspiring everyone he meets.
