Amélie Vernay

Amélie Vernay will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Amélie, a devoted and committed member of the baton twirling association “Les Starlines” since the age of 19 years old, has brilliantly represented the club on several occasions, winning medals at the France NBTA (national baton twirling association) championships and proudly wearing France’s colours at the European Championships and Nations Cup.

In addition to her sporting feats, Amélie generously shares her knowledge and experience by volunteering to introduce the young people in her town to the opportunities of participating in sport, especially baton twirling, and to help enthusiasts perfect their technique. As an active member of its committee, she also contributes to the vitality and durability of the club. Amélie is an essential pillar of the association, representing her town with pride and dedication through her commitment and performances.
