Alizé Cornet will carry the Olympic Torch. Here’s her story:

Alizé has been a professional tennis player for 18 years, and was French No. 1 in 2014. She won the Fed Cup in 2019 with the French team, the Hopman Cup in 2014 alongside Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and she has nine WTA Tour titles to her name (six in singles and three in doubles). Alizé also holds the women's record for consecutive Grand Slam appearances, with 63 in a row starting from the 2007 Australian Open. In addition to her sporting career, she has authored two books. Alizé will feel a great sense of pride as she carries the Olympic Torch through her hometown.
