Alexandre Arle

Alexandre Arle will carry the Olympic Torch. This is his story:

Alexandre, a young man of 28 years, has shown incredible determination despite his deafness and psychomotor disability, making considerable efforts to take up sport. He is a member of an adapted dance association and adores dancing with able-bodied partners, demonstrating his passion for music in spite of his deafness. Furthermore, he is also a member of an adapted judo association. For Alexandre, carrying the Olympic Torch is an immense honour, allowing him to represent children who, like him, overcome their disability every day to develop their physical capacities.

Alexandre is a sociable person with an insatiable curiosity and loves major sporting events as well as being an enthusiastic participant in sporting challenges. With his dance association, he even won a gold medal at a competition that brought together 900 participants. This success symbolises the fighting spirit and determination that Alexandre displays every day in overcoming his disabilities.
