Equestrian in Omaha Beach

The French Equestrian Federation (FFE) celebrated its centenary in 2021. With 9,500 pony clubs, riding schools and activity organisers, and 675,000 members, the FFE is the third largest French Olympic Sports Federation in terms of the number of members, and the first in terms of the number of women.

Good for the body, good for the mind, and often a time for sharing and conviviality, horse riding is a vector for well-being and living together better, especially as it is practised in nature and in contact with a horse.

The Olympic Torch Relay is an opportunity to highlight the regions of France through the prism of Olympic values. Horses and riders will be helping to promote France's cultural heritage in the most beautiful way, making these festive moments unforgettable memories.

All those involved in the equestrian sector will be there to celebrate riding, the values of the sport and the richness of our regions.

For the first time in the history of the Games, each day of the Olympic Torch Relay and Paralympic Torch Relay, relay teams of 24 people, made up of champions, everyday athletes, volunteers, referees, coaches, etc. will be organized to spread the energy of sport and teamwork throughout the country.
