Created in 1881, the French Cycling Federation (FFC) is an Olympic Sports Federation, approved and delegated by the Ministry of Sports. Its mission is to organise, promote and develop the sport of cycling in all its forms throughout France. It has more than 2,500 affiliated clubs and almost 110,000 members. The FFC has 12 disciplines: road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking, BMX racing, BMX freestyle, cyclo-cross, pump track, e-cycling, cycle polo, gravel cycling, indoor cycling and recumbent cycling.

Its headquarters are located at the national cycling centre in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the Pôle France which will host the track cycling and BMX racing events at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

For the French Cycling Federation, the team Torch Relay is a great opportunity to showcase our disciplines and highlight the Olympic values that we share on a daily basis: fair play, the development of sport, inclusion, education and performance. This is also an opportunity to unite our champions, volunteers and supporters around a unifying project in this special year for French sport.

The team Relay organised in the Vaucluse will be held on the heights of Mont-Ventoux, a legendary world cycling landmark. A total of 24 cyclists will be taking to the roads of Mont-Ventoux: young members of a French cycling school, volunteers and everyday cyclists will be rubbing shoulders with some of the great names in BMX and track cycling, world champions and Olympic champions who have flown the flag for France.

What a pleasure it is to climb the legendary Mont-Ventoux! As an Olympic BMX champion, I know that cycling has a special place in French Olympic history. I will be proud to represent the French Cycling Federation, alongside Daniel Morelon, Olympic track cycling champion, as well as many other cyclists and volunteers.
