From 6 to 18 October 2018, the third edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games will welcome 4,000 of the world’s best young athletes to Buenos Aires, Argentina. With 239 events, including new sports and disciplines, coverage of the YOG will be featured on several platforms, including Olympic Rights-Holding Broadcasters (RHBs) in over 220 territories, Olympic Channel, featuring live and on-demand event coverage - and social platforms so that you can follow your favourite sport around the clock and wherever you are!
Worldwide broadcasters
The Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 will be broadcast on television and digital channels around the world. Thanks to the support of the Olympic Rights-Holding Broadcasters, sports events and unique features will be available in more than 220 territories. In the host market, Argentina, coverage of the YOG will be available on the following channels: TV Publica, TYC and DEPORTV. Olympic Channel
Providing further distribution and audience engagement, the Olympic Channel will offer comprehensive “digital first” global coverage of the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 on olympicchannel.com and its mobile apps. Programming includes a 24/7 Youth Olympic Games Channel featuring coverage of every sport, 550 live streaming hours across 149 YOG events, daily highlights and news, daily podcasts, schedules, results and medal standings, and more. In addition, the Olympic Channel will present the “YOG Daily” show which features a lively look at the news, trending stories, highlights and interviews in a round-up of the day’s events in a fun and interactive format. Twitter - Beginning on Monday 8 October, select competitions from the YOG will also be streamed live on Twitter. The live stream can be accessed via @OlympicChannel and @Olympics on Twitter. Three sessions will be covered on Twitter (times subject to change):
To coincide with the opening of the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games, Twitter is also launching hashtag-triggered emojis for each competition in four languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish and French). Beginning on 6 October, fans will be able to Tweet with #YouthOlympics, #BuenosAires2018 or a competition hashtag to unlock special Youth Olympic Games logo emojis.
Google and YouTube - Fans searching for Buenos Aires 2018 details will be able to enjoy a dedicated Google Search experience including direct access to live streams and on-demand content from the Olympic Channel on YouTube.
The Olympic Channel’s coverage on the YouTube will include the 24/7 Youth Olympic Games Channel and two live event streams per day. Additional content includes videos created about young athletes and from influencers as well as features and select episodes from Olympic Channel original series. The Olympic Channel will also share relevant highlights and athlete stories via Posts on Google to keep fans up-to-date on the all the day’s action from Buenos Aires.

In line with the YOG being by young people, the #GameChangers campaign will be visible across all platforms and social handles in celebration of the amazing young athletes who will be competing at the YOG. You can find athletes’ user generated content and coverage of the Games, as well as insights and behind-the-scenes blogging by influencers from the worlds of culture, music and sport.
