Yoshizawa Coco - Japan - qualified first (overall ranking position)
On the intense internal battle for the three Japanese women’s street Olympic quota spots:
“I didn’t qualify in first from the semifinal so I was a little worried about how the finals would go for me today. But I believed in myself and that if I did the best I could do, I could come in first today in finals. I didn’t worry about anyone else, I just focused on my performance.”
On looking forward to Paris 2024:
“I have been a little nervous thinking about Paris, but after winning today and qualifying in first I am excited for the Olympics.”
