X Games: Jamie Anderson wins seventh slopestyle title to tie Shaun White for overall medals 

For Jamie Anderson, it was a new continent but the same result a week after her Laax Open triumph in Switzerland.

The double Olympic champion snowboarder soared to victory Friday at X Games Aspen in the slopestyle, capturing her seventh X Games gold and 18th medal overall. She is now tied for second with superstar Shaun White on the Winter X Games medals list.

Zoi Sadowski-Synnott was second, while PyeongChang 2018 silver medallist Laurie Blouin grabbed third.

Olympic big air champion Anna Gasser finished seventh.

In the women's ski big air, Switzerland's Mathilde Gremaud bounced back from a bad crash, using her next run to land the first-ever 1440 in women's X Games history. A silver medallist in the skiing slopestyle in 2018, Gremaud hit a switch double cork 1440 in her final run to seal her gold medal, scoring a total of 91 points.

Megan Oldham was second and Gu Ailing Eileen third.

Porteous emerges winner in superpipe

Gu went on to take the title in the women's superpipe while Nico Porteous of New Zealand captured the men's superpipe. The Kiwi won bronze in the halfpipe at PyeongChang and notches his first X Games gold in Aspen. Aaron Blunck grabbed silver.

Double Olympic halfpipe champion David Wise was fifth in the superpipe.

Sochi silver medallist in the slopestyle, Gus Kenworthy, finished sixth. Kenworthy switched to competing for Great Britain in December 2019.
